Christian is an easy-going, respectful teenager and he loves being with people. Although he may not always initiate conversations, Christian enjoys talking and responds well to open-ended questions and likes to share his thoughtful, honest perspective. Christian plays the point guard position for his school’s basketball team which suits him well as he is very observant and aware of the important people and things around him. In his spare time he enjoys playing basketball, hanging out with friends in his neighborhood, and he likes to play video games on occasion. He also likes spending time at the nearby lake, and going swimming at the local YMCA.
Christian is friendly and gets along well with his older foster brother. He is helpful around the house and doesn’t mind doing his share of the chores. Christian is eager to get a part-time job when he turns 15 so that he can save up for some cool new sneakers and maybe a cellphone. He is quite fashionable and can quickly point out the latest Nike or Jordan shoes at the mall.
At school Christian has had an outstanding year and consistently impresses his teachers with his cooperative disposition and persistence. His teachers believe that he has a “great work ethic” and that he is one of the “best listeners” in the class. His teachers commented that Christian has a “good heart” and that he is a “quiet leader.”
The Right Family for Christian
Christian needs a family that will set clear rules and expectations, without being unreasonably strict. Although Christian did well at school this year, he doesn’t always love to do tons of homework or studying, so he will need a family that values education and that will be involved in his learning process. He would prefer a home that could offer some sibling companionship, and he doesn’t mind pets.
