Jory Miller, MSW, LGSW (he/him) – Permanency Specialist

Jory graduated from the U of M with his MSW in 2019 with a Families and Children concentration and as a IV-E scholar. Shortly after graduating, he joined Ampersand Families with a strong passion to support youth in the child welfare system. He is driven to provide education, connection, and resources to the families and youth working towards permanency.

At Ampersand Families, Jory is passionate about healthy, empathetic communication and building a bridge between youth and their birth family. Using best practices and culturally competent tools, he strives to create permanent connections for all youth he works with. Jory is particularly passionate about working with LGBTQ youth and youth and families in rural areas.

Jory believes all youth and families should be served with dignity and respect and strives to meet the needs of every unique identity his clients bring to the agency.

Our Mission

The mission of Ampersand Families is to provide permanency and adoption services to older youth and families who face barriers to equity in child welfare, and to champion systemic changes that advance belonging, dignity and hope.
