Audrey started at Ampersand Families in 2022. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Bethel University in 2011 and is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Social Work program at Metropolitan State University. Audrey has a long history of working with underserved families in the community. She is the former Founder/CEO of TMM Community Resource Services, a local non-profit organization in Northeast Minneapolis. For work done in the community, she was featured in City Pages newspaper, the Northeaster local newspaper as well as an interview with Kathy Wurzer of MPR News. She also has experience working in child welfare as a Relative/Kinship Outreach worker.
Audrey currently resides in Northeast Minneapolis. She is the proud parent to three grown children, two daughters (35 and 30) and one son (19). When not at work or church, you can usually find Audrey in the community meeting the need of someone who is hungry, in need of clothing or in need of a listening ear.
Her everyday mantra in life is to find a need and meet it to the best of her ability.
The mission of Ampersand Families is to provide permanency and adoption services to older youth and families who face barriers to equity in child welfare, and to champion systemic changes that advance belonging, dignity and hope.
