Meet Shakira

Shakira is described as being sweet, smart, a good leader, athletic, and friendly.  She is a young lady with big dreams and those close to her believe she can and will be successful in whatever she puts her mind to!  Shakira says she enjoys being active, spending time outside, hanging out with friends, being adventurous, swimming, and horses.  She says she likes responsibilities and working because she likes to have her own money.  Shakira wants to do hair and get serious about this passion soon.  She states she would like someone who would be supportive of her doing hair and to help her get started on this career path.  Shakira is very talented both in doing hair and educationally.  She has great leadership abilities and enjoys these tasks.  When asked what she likes about herself, Shakira stated “I am very understanding, I can see other people’s point of views, and I can admit when I am wrong.”  These are amazing skills for a 17 year old!  Shakira is also very athletic and enjoys playing basketball.  She would love to get back on the court and start playing again!  Shakira loves all music but rap is her favorite with her favorite artist being Lil Durk.  Shakira states her grandmother is the most important person to her.

A Family for Shakira

Shakira needs an active, supportive, and understanding family who is able to give her space to make her own decisions while also keeping her safe.  Shakira has dreams of pursuing a career in cosmetology and wants to get serious about this in the upcoming years.  She would benefit from a family that would support her in this career path and help her learn what it takes to get  started.  Shakira’s birth family is important to her and she would need a family that understands those special bonds and assists in supporting and structuring these relationships.  Shakira would prefer to stay in the metro area and she likes pets but states she doesn’t really care if she has pets of her own.
