Nila joined the Ampersand Families board in 2023, and is looking forward to bringing her equity experience and perspective to the work at Ampersand Families.
More About Nila Gouldin
Nila Gouldin, MPH works to promote equity in all areas, especially in the non-profit and public sector. In 2002, she was part of the Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative (EHDI) team that disseminated $10 million across the State of Minnesota to address the racial /ethnic health disparities. EHDI was the intersection of health and equity housed in the Office of Minority and Multicultural Health at Minnesota Department of Health. These grant practices provided emerging best practices for the current State Office of Grant Management (OGM) established in 2007.
Born and raised in the Twin Cities, she holds a graduate degree in Community Health Education from the University of Minnesota, School of Public Health, and an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Metropolitan State University. Her daughter, Colette, has built a promising career in the airline industry over the past 15 years and is currently working outstate. In her spare time, Nila enjoys the Twin Cities performing arts scene.
