Grid graduated from Winona State University with a degree in Sociology and Child Advocacy Studies. They have been a youth worker in many different capacities such as Treatment Foster Care, schools, Day Treatment and Emergency Youth Shelter. They started at Ampersand Families as a Youth Permanency Specialist in June 2021 and have since transitioned into the role of Buddy Family Permanency Specialist. Grid is excited to use their experience in youth work to help grow the Buddy Family program and support connections in the community.
Grid lives in Minneapolis with their partner and their 2 dogs and cat. Grid enjoys being outside, watching movies, playing various sports in a local social league, Dungeons & Dragons and board games.
For most of their career, Grid has worked in the mental health field with youth and is very passionate about advocating for teens and helping them not only get their needs met, but to provide space for them to just be. Through their work experience, Grid has often worked with youth that experience inconsistent permanency in their lives and has a desire to apply their work experience and skills to help youth and families obtain the support they need and experience connection and community.
