Development Director
She/Her
Madelyn is a graduate of St. Olaf College with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 2014. Instead of pursuing numbers after graduating, Madelyn chased a passion for youth advocacy, sparked by her work as a camp counselor in Northern Minnesota as a young adult. Madelyn then spent the next decade community organizing and leading fundraising initiatives to build youth leadership programs across the Twin Cities before joining Ampersand Families.
Madelyn and her spouse have a young child and two large dogs, currently making them very active parents. To expend all her excess energy and free time, Madelyn enjoys training for half marathons and spending time outdoors in each of the Minnesota seasons.
In her work, Madelyn enjoys partnering with program staff and funders to create innovative program solutions to address systemic issues facing families and youth. At Ampersand Families, she looks forward to disrupting barriers to equity in child welfare and giving youth belonging, dignity, and hope in the process.
