Katharine (she/her/they/them) sees the value in supporting people, of all ages, in order to ensure their needs are met and their services and supports are all they want them to be. Also, public policy and advocacy is a passion of hers.
More About Katharine Gudbjartsson
Katharine received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Ethnic Studies and her Master’s Degree in Gerontology and Nursing Home Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She comes to Ampersand Families with 15 plus years of experience in Health and Human Services, ranging from group home management, nursing home care and management, halfway house And recovery work, contracted case management, and MnCHOICES Assessor work.
Katharine also has volunteer experiences with serving on other boards, including homeowner’s association, scholarship committee and Compassionate Justice with a local place of worship, and the Minnesota Social Services Association (MSSA).
In their spare time, they enjoy spending time with their family and friends. Also, they enjoy cooking, officiating marriages for all, fishing, photography, playing board and card games, and scrapbooking.
