Danielle Brown

Danielle joined the Ampersand Families team as a Permanency Specialist in May 2018. She knew that working at Ampersand Families would be a good fit for her because their mission and vision aligned with some of her beliefs and views. Danielle continues to grow with the agency as it steadily progresses. Alongside her role as a Youth Focused Permanency Specialist, she has recently accepted a second role at Ampersand, working on Innovative Targeted Recruitment for African American Youth.

Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She later continued her education at Adler Graduate School where she studied Marriage and Family Therapy. Danielle has 10+ years of experience in the human services field. She has always had a passion for helping others, especially youth. Danielle believes that every child deserves to have someone who they can trust and exhibit unconditional love. As well as being somewhere they can feel safe, secure, & have a sense of belonging. Danielle has made a commitment to the youth and families that she serves. With her knowledge, experience, and skills, she will continue to support and advocate for them.
