Jamie Gonzalez

Jamie Gonzalez joined the Ampersand team in January 2026. Prior to this, Jamie spent 8 years in the child welfare field in Florida and Minnesota, primarily as a parenting skills educator for families involved in child protective services.

Jamie graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice from University of North Florida, where she discovered her passion for child and family wellness in a class centered on youth incarceration. In her work, Jamie has witnessed the racial and class disparities in child welfare and aims to reduce and mend injustices perpetuated by the system. She recognizes that the work is never complete, and she can always learn more and do better. Additionally, Jamie’s personal experience with neurodivergence and mental health struggles lends her a unique perspective when working with parents who have similar difficulties.

Outside of the office, Jamie likes to spend time with her partner; their pre-teen; and their two kitties, Pickles and Apple. Jamie enjoys reading, playing The Sims, going to see live music, and cheering on her Jacksonville Jaguars.
