Nikolina is a Yugoslav-born educator, advocate, and artist residing in the Twin Cities since 2019. She has spent the larger part of the last decade teaching interdisciplinary undergraduate-level courses, as well as language and communication arts within a middle/high school setting.
Prior to joining Ampersand families, Nikolina worked with and alongside victims of domestic and sexual abuse, providing group and individual support and advocacy, referrals, and case management as needed. She continues this work in the form of after-hours advocacy and crisis response services across the metro area.
With a background in creative and applied arts, Nikolina seeks to bring in a touch of deep compassion and informed attentiveness to every piece of the puzzle and every shared moment. Her time outside of work is devoted to visual, aerial, and movement arts.
