Olivia Garcia

Olivia has been a Kin Link Specialist with Ampersand Families since August, 2021. Olivia has her BA in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from Hope College. Since graduating, she has gained experience working as a Foster Care Case Manager in Illinois for two years and a Waiver Case Manager in Minnesota. She is currently Child and Adolescent Strengths and Needs (CANS) certified and is working towards becoming Ampersand’s Qualitative Parentings Initiative (QPI) Champion. Olivia’s background has allowed her to acknowledge and respect that every person she engages has a different perspective and needs.

Olivia enjoys running after her two dogs, a nice cup of tea, and board games with her friends and family.

Olivia is excited to be part of the Ampersand Family with a team that strives to maintain resources, permanency, and stability for the youth and their families. She has a passion for working with youth and families involved with the child welfare system to ensure that everyone has a place to feel safe, supported, and loved unconditionally. She is encouraged to work with an organization that is unified and strives to meet youth and families’ unique needs.
