Makyah is a creative, sociable, and engaging teen. She loves to use her imagination and create interesting stories. Makyah is a very talent- ed artist and enjoys sharing her artwork with others. She enjoys painting, sketching anime, and learning graphic design. Makyah has a passion for make-up and fashion. She likes ‘playing’ with colors and creating over-the-top designs. Makyah is artistically gifted! She also has a love for animals and very knowledgeable about them—which is pretty impressive. Makyah’s favorite animals are foxes and jaguars. She shares that she loves foxes because they are ‘sneaky’ & jaguars because they are fast. Makyah is opinionated and does not have any issues with sharing what’s on her mind. She is a strong advocate for herself.
A family for Makyah...
Makyah needs a family that will be able to provide structure & routine, especially around sleep. A family for Makyah needs to understand the impact of extensive trauma & able to maintain healthy boundaries. This family will also need to provide good, clear communication, as well as, model & teach coping skills. They will need to support Makyah’s interests and help her develop her gifts and talents. A home with youth the same age or older than Makyah would be preferred. A prospective family will need to be supportive of on-going contact with a variety of biological family members, specifically her siblings, grandparents, & great grandparents.
