Meet Joe Wild Crea

Joe (he/him) was an Ampersand employee in the early days and still feels the passion for supporting older youth to find permanency in their lives.
More About Joe Wild Crea
Joe is a former employee from the early years of Ampersand Families. He joined the board in December 2024 because, as he says, “I still feel the passion for supporting older youth to find permanency in their lives. I look forward to strengthening the many facets of work currently happening at Ampersand Families.”
Joe has a background in education, public policy, parent education and advocacy, especially for children and adults with disabilities. While he has retired from paid employment, he owns and manages rental property in St. Paul with a commitment to maintain his buildings as units that provide affordable housing for many tenants.
Joe enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren. When he’s not with them, he enjoys spending time in the outdoors hiking, fishing, camping/canoeing in remote wilderness areas, woodworking, and lending a hand when needed.
