Margaret has spent her entire career in nonprofit development. She earned degrees from Augsburg University and the University of Minnesota and has helped develop strategy and raise funds for organizations in the arts, education, public health, and human services. She has served on the boards of several nonprofits including as board president for the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. She also currently serves as an elected official for a west metro suburb.
Margaret and her husband, Ben, have three adult children. When she’s not working, she likes making music with friends and spending time in the great outdoors. She’s also the primary care provider for her 90+-year-old mom.
Margaret is passionate about helping others and advocating for systems change so that everyone has what they need. She is honored to be working in the welcoming, inclusive, anti-racist environment that is Ampersand Families.
