Patricia joined Ampersand Families in July 2022. Patricia earned her Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Augsburg University and received her certification in t Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT). Patricia has a variety of different experiences in both clinical mental health and youth work. Previously, Patricia worked in the Minneapolis Public Schools as a school based therapist and school social worker. Prior, she worked in Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) with housing insecure clients providing mental health treatment. Patricia has over five years of experience in youth work in various positions as a youth educator, community organizer, youth event leader, and lobby coach.
Outside of work, Patricia loves to stay busy with recreation sports leagues, book club, and attending community events in the Twin Cities. Patricia enjoys attending live music shows in the area, and spending time with friends.
Patricia is passionate about the importance of providing person-centered, and meaningful assessments to youth. She is excited to be working at Ampersand assessing youth utilizing the Neuroseqential Model to best meet the needs youth’s needs. In addition, she is excited to be working at an agency that is dedicated to putting youth first, and with a dedication to anti oppressive practices. Patricia cares deeply about providing compassionate, ethical, and effective services to youth and families.
