Meet Camren

Camren is often described by those around him as “friendly”, “bright”, “respectful”, and “funny”! Camren might be a little quiet when you first meet him, but he will soon break out of his shell and try to make you laugh! Camren has a love for music and has enjoyed teaching himself piano, singing in his school’s jazz choir, and performing in school plays. Camren loves to read and enjoys spending much of his free time in a quiet space with a book. Camren does well in school and would like to go to college to study chemistry or zoology! Camren’s church and youth group are very important to him. He reports enjoying the experience of getting together with others at church and having a shared purpose.

A Family for Camren

Camren is largely open to the family structure, race, gender, and sexuality of his adoptive parent(s). He would preferably live close to Grand Rapids, MN, but would consider other areas situationally. The right family for Camren will be understanding, flexible, and hold clear and consistent boundaries. Camren hopes for a family that will fully support his pursuit of a career in the sciences, and that will help keep him connected to his faith, church, and youth group. Camren will do best in a home with no children younger than him. Camren remains in contact with his birth mother and will need to be supported in maintaining this relationship and other important adults in his life. While Camren is open to adoption, he would also be open to having supportive adults join his life in mentorship-type roles.

Our Vision

That every young person whose life has been disrupted by trauma and subsequent child welfare intervention will be restored to a safe, permanent family with an urgency that honors the brevity of childhood.
