Ingrid [Grid] Larson (They/Them) – Permanency Specialist

Ingrid started at Ampersand Families 2021. They received their BA in Sociology and Child Advocacy Studies at Winona State University. Since graduation, they have gained experience in settings such as Treatment Foster Care, Emergency Youth Shelter, Schools and Adolescent Day Treatment.

Ingrid is thrilled to be a part of the Ampersand Team. They have a passion for working with youth and families, and are committed to meeting clients with authenticity and unconditional positive regard. Ingrid’s background in mental health gives them a unique perspective in providing holistic care and supporting youth and their families in developing new perspectives on how to view themselves and the world around them. Grid loves helping youth develop and become attuned to their strengths and finds joy when their clients reach their “aha” moment!

Grid is a big-time fan of anything outdoors -bonus points if they can bring their dog and consider themselves a pizza connoisseur, especially when paired with a crisp La Croix. In their free time, you’ll find them engaging in various activities with their friends such as playing Dungeons and Dragons or board games, attending live music or playing trivia.

Our Mission

The mission of Ampersand Families is to provide permanency and adoption services to older youth and families who face barriers to equity in child welfare, and to champion systemic changes that advance belonging, dignity and hope.
